My Audrey is loving stuffed animals, and has to have them as a constant companion. This is a recent development. She has been doing this for about a month now. The night before I put her to bed before this picture, she had to go to bed with this giraffe, and this teddy bear. They are not new-we got the giraffe at Hogle Zoo the year before, and the bear from my doctor's off ice when she was born. When I got her up the next morning, we grabbed the giraffe, and started heading toward the kitchen for breakfast, when she said, "bear, bear!" So we had to grab both and eat with them both. Too fun! I am glad my little girl is finally able to enjoy the things that surround her!

Halloween Shindig

Our wonderful 1st ward did a great job, yet again, with the Halloween Carnival this year. Typical chili dinner, as always, followed by tons of fun for kids. Grant and Audrey did great this year. We were able to stay longer than an hour, and the kids played the games and did well.



















Probably the favorite game of the night, was this "Snack Walk." The kids had to walk in a circle on numbers 1-10. when the music stopped, they pulled a number out of a bag, and if you had that number you got a prize. We played this several times. The snack was a healthy one, so this one wasn't the most popular one to be at, which was great for us, since Grant and Audrey don't take to lines too well!



















We needed a break mid-party, so the kids were content to get away from it all and just play on the stairs, which led to the stage. Grant couldn't get enough of being on the stage, so that is where he spent his time while the carnival was being set up.









One of the prizes was squishy balls. Audrey was too funny. The game was the bean bag throw, and she just walked right up to the board, put it in, and went right for the balls. She was very particular about choosing one, before finally settling on the soccer ball. Then she couldn't stop making her way over to that station time and again to pick out a new ball.











Another fun game they had was Glow-in-the-dark Golf. They gave the kids
Glow-in-the-dark sticks, which the kids loved.

















Another awesome thing this year, is that it seemed like there wasn't as many people there. James reminded me that the singles branch was not there this time because we had a boundary change, and they now go to a different building. It was a lot of fun!

We had a great Halloween!
We took the kids trick-or-treating on Halloween night and James and I had a great time taking the kids around town. The weather was absolutely perfect. A slight breeze, and all that was needed was a light jacket. Grant got the hang of it really quick. He was great at knocking on the door, and saying "tick, teat," although not always with perfect timing. The kids ended up eith quite the loot. One house was even giving out dollar bills, with a handful of candy!

Silly Kids

My little Audrey loves to lay her whole body down on one stair, and Grant likes to climb over. One of the funny silly games they play. Silly kids!

My Sweet Audrey...

Audrey is such a fun little girl. New and exciting things about Audrey:

She is starting to talk! She can say juice, mom, dad, dog, And my favorite' cereal, which she says as "soooo."

Still not a morning person. She still clings to me in the morning after first waking up.

She loves yogurt, and peaches, and mixed fruit cups. Those are her fave things to eat.

She loves this toy dog. She will laugh when he starts to bark really fast!

She likes to do the actions to the song, "The Wheels on the Bus."

She loves to play "Ring Around the Rosies."

Her favorite books are My First Counting Book, and Green Eggs and Ham, and Hop On Pop.

She is great at playing independently. She can entertain herself for a good long while.

Funny Kids

The new favorite thing at our house is Grant pushing around Audrey in this cart. It doesn't last long though! Grant usually pushes to fast for Audrey to keep up.

Momma, Poppa Visit

We got a special visit in the beginning of September from James's parents, known to Grant as "momma, poppa." Grant was especially cute with them this visit. He really got into them being there. We had a good time.

James's dad really wanted to go fishing, so we found a spot by the Platte River, so we could go. Unfortuneately, it was really muddy by the river, and my kids have never really been there before, so they were all about going into the river. Audrey, and her "no fear" attitude, headed straight for the river and was getting in, when James made a grab for her. We left soon after. We found a place with a pavilion type building just offthe road, where we stopped and did a little fishing. We left James's parents there, and they did some more fishing.



My favorite parts of the trip were when they would just play with the kids. This doesn't seem to happen very often since tney live so far away, so I tried to capture them as most often as I could on camera.

Speaking of cameras, forever grateful to my father-in-law for showing some tricks on my camera since he has taken photography classes. I learned knew things about what my camera could do, and I lIke it even more now!








We took a walk around our neighborhood after dinner. The kids didn't last long, though. They were pretty good on the way to the river, but were ornery on the way back. Great weather, though!

Together

One thing, about my Grandma Walch passing away, is that it brought my family together in a way that hasn't happened probably since I got married eleven years ago. My cute mom wanted to get pictures after the funeral, so we met at my Aunt Colleen's neighbor's house so we could fulfill this wish. I also would like to add that this was the first time in three years that I had seen Kristin, and she got to see Audrey for the first time.

It was such a nice day for August, and I adore how the pictures turned out.




I can hardly believe how big my brother Kirk is! How cute is he!




I love my mom and my sisters. I wish we could get together more. Taking these pics was so funny, sometimes we couldn't help but laugh!

We had just gotten finished eating lunch at Jim's that lasted almost two hours. The kids were wonderful! We brought the iPad in with us to lunch so Grant was completely content to watch that, and eat, while the rest of us could chat. I couldn't blame them for being so tired, but didn't have the heart to wake them up for pictures, since it was such a long day.






I love that I got one with my handsome husband!
