A Happy Thanksgiving to You

A few days later, after our sick visit to the doctor's office, Grant felt well enough to go to school and came home with this little beauty of a hat:

He loves it! He likes all his hats from school, and will wear them randomly throughout the weeks. I think he wears them well!







Audrey doesn't seem to enthused! When it's her turn on the iPad, she is all tuned in! :) I love these two!

Never Fails

James had to go on a Casper business trip in mid November, about a week or so before Thanksgiving. Guess who developed a fever and a cough? That's right, Mr. Grant! Audrey was actually coming down with the same thing at the time, and hers showed up a few days later. It required a trip to the Doctor's office, on a school day, which never sits well with me. I dislike greatly for Grant to miss school, so a trip to the doctor was essential. A slight ear infection warranted us for a prescription which made Grant feel all better. Better enough to brave preschool the next day.

-I love going to our pediatrician's office. They have the whole place decked out so fun for kids, that my kids actually look forward to going, and sometimes even ask to go. Every room has a fun exam table. This one that we went to this day had a car, and it was an obvious hit.







Miss Cinderella also enjoyed the trip to the doctor, even though it wasn't her trip. Although, she got her turn a few days later, when she came down with the same thing, and we had to get HER a prescription. And yes, all this happened while James was away. He misses all the good stuff!

Halloween 2012

I wouldn't mind being saved by the day by this cute Superman:

I love that he is holding a flag. He makes me smile! Grant had been watching the old 1978 (or so) version of Superman, and seemed interested in it, thus the reason behind him being Superman this year.




I must admit, that for Audrey, who is absolutely obsessed with Minnie Mouse, I sort of put it into her mind that she wanted to be Cinderella. We watched the movie a few times, and she like it, but when the time came for trick-or-treating, this is what she wore:



The ears broke as well, so unless you know that Minnie has a polka dot dress on, you might not know what she is. The next day though:










She insisted on wearing it. And she had to put it on, as Cinderella in the movie got put into her dress. She is such a funny girl. Things just have to be her idea or she will not do it!

Notice the lack of people. This was our first Halloween in this neighborhood, and there are quite a lot of kids. Just no one does the door to door trick-or-treating anymore. We missed our ward's Trunk or Treat which happened the same day as the Sheep Parade. We didn't go, because after the parade and the festivities afterward, the kids, and James and I were just too tired. We will be sure to go next year!

The Sheep Parade 2012

Cedar City is like the mecca of parades. They have so many every year, you almost get tired of going to them. Luckily we made it to the Sheep Parade. It was actually a really good one. Glad we went. They have it every October near Halloween. I think this year, it was the day before or something. Grandma and Grandpa Killpack joined us for this one, and they really enjoyed it too. The whole premis behind this parade is rounding up all the sheep off of Cedar Mountain, and then they run down Main Street, so it's quite a few sheep, and quite the sight to see. It's not the only sight though! Here are some pics of our experience:

Okay, so I didn't take tons of pictures, just the ones that impressed me. The farmers in the county also come and bring out there huge farm equipment. Really huge vehicles that do who knows what. It's actually quite impressive, and a reason that the Killpack's enjoyed it so much. I think we will make this an annual tradition!

Two Kids

What can I say about this little boy? He is full of energy! He loves to play with cars, watch movies, and play on the iPad (he is super good at it too). He is best friends with his sister, even though they can fight. He is super smart. He loves to read books (he is great at it!) He gives the best hugs and kisses around, and we don't know what we would do with out him!


This little girl is so independent. She definitely has a mind of her own. If you want her to do something, you have to make her think it is her idea, or she won't do it! She is very lovable. She is my snuggly girl. She loves to curl up with me and just be. It is wonderful! She puts up with a lot from her older brother, and definitely knows how to take of herself. We love our little Audrey!

Comfy?

I love the swing in our basement. A lot of times, after Grant gets home from preschool, I will put on a movie while I start dinner. I walked down there to find Grant like this:
